Crisis situations have a heavy impact on survivors of violence, especially those who are also members of the marginalized communities; people of color, LGBTQ+, those from lower-income communities. This pandemic is further increasing risks of violence and isolation, and creating severe challenges to the trauma being experienced by survivors and their families.
𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃-𝟏𝟗 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝
We are committed to continue responding to the crisis and look to assist survivors with our COVID-19 Survivor Relief Fund. This Fund aims to provide temporary economic relief to survivors with a high likelihood of securing longer-term assistance or safely resuming work after this assistance period is over. Each survivor will receive one-time assistance valued at $50 per week, for 8 weeks.
For this, we will work closely with domestic violence and sexual assault agencies across the Bay Area and work through their channels.
